Just brought a 3rd monitor, ASUS VP279Q-P.
frame-less = less frame != frameless.
eye care feature= blue light adjustment
Why I buy this:
1. 27" screen for triple monitor
2. Displayport to fit graphic card GTX 960
3. Build-in speaker (dont want to buy seperate speaker)
4. CHEAP, ON SALE
Rating: (Rating based on same price level monitors)
1. Screen 5/5. No bad pixel. Perform well for gaming.
2. Speaker 4/5. Acceptable performance. I've seen (heard) a lot better built-in speakers as well as totally inaudible ones.
3. Frame adjustment 1/5. Unable to adjust height or tilt. Lower than average monitor.
Pros:
Newly manufactured, Oct.2015
Include Displayport, HDMI, VGA cable
Thin bezel looks good. (about half of average bezel, but edges fragile)
Issues:
1. Vivid pixel (default value: 25) was troublesome in displaying text. Manually set to 0. It's ok in gaming. I thought it was quality issue at first glimpse.
2. Stupid frame design. Yes thin bezel is great, but what the square corner for? (the rectangle bar on bottom of screen, see the picture). when placing 3-screen, the corner would create a line between monitors, preventing seamless adherence. Has designer ever tried putting 3-monitors together?
Overall:
Recommended. Not for perfectionist but great for the cost performance.
